The baby class circuit begins #babyswim

I hit my first ever parent/baby class today - Baby Swimming at Ironmonger Row Baths (IRB).

I actually used to live next door to IRB so I was familiar with these lovely 1930s refurbished baths. Previously though, I was generally pumping out some lengths of (pretty amateur) front-crawl - today MC and I were pumping out doggy-paddle as Baby Shark was booming out of the loud-speaker.

Our instructor, Wendy, was lovely and welcoming; she took us through the motions as MC splashed around with her new chums. MC loved it - and for only £5 to keep your baby entertained for 30 minutes, this class was top value.

As I expected (though otherwise hoped), I was the only Dad, but it was a small class with only 5 parents (including me) in the water.

Any SPL Dads out there, get your swimmers on and get on down!

Class Summary:

Cost: under £5 for 30 mins (if you go 4 x per month)

Female/male parent ratio: 4:1

Any other Dads: No 😐

Recommended: Definitely!
