MC hits her first gig at 10 weeks' old #musiclover

Since knowing I was to become a Dad, and being a musician, taking MC to see live music has always been high up on the to-do list.

However, I don't think I anticipated it would happen so quickly - when MC was just 10 weeks old!

TP is a massive fan of Big Thief so we couldn't pass on the opportunity to see Adrianne Lenker at one of our favourite venues - Union Chapel in Islington. TP and I had seen a couple of seminal gigs of our relationship at this venue so it was very fitting to take little Millipede here for her first proper gig.

Obviously, choice of band t-shirt was massively important: I went with the Nirvana smiley classic; MC loved it.

Upon arrival at the venue, we were warmly greeted by the door staff who seated us pride of place in the disabled seating area - great views and room for the pram - result. MC took it in her stride and settled in for the gig.

MC watched the support act (Squirrel Flower) and about half of Adrianne Lenker before nodding off to sleep to the dreamy singer / songwriter acoustic tunes.

What a great evening! And, a great reminder that MC doesn't have to change our life too much... perhaps?!
