Cooking for MC #babyfood
TP is always putting me to shame by making MC loads of fancy meals with enough quinoa in them to single-handedly keep the Andean economies afloat. I, on the other hand, make a cracking meal with only bread-sticks and Philadelphia cheese.
However, in all seriousness, having a a couple of quick healthy recipes to hand for feeding is a top tip.
So here's a vegan, gluten free, plant based, organic, no sugar, recipe I developed myself below.
Enjoy!

Dadonspl's Crushed Pea and Broad Bean Blend
Prep time: 1 minute
Cooking time: 4 minutes
Ingredients:
- Garden Peas
- Broad beans
- Take a handful of vegan peas and gluten-free broad beans, both hand-picked from my favourite organic farm in Suffolk (or otherwise from the Asda Smart Price frozen veg section).
- Gently pour the peas and beans into a pan.
- Add water that is around 80 degrees (boiling water can bruise the peas).
- Bring the water to boiling and simmer for 3 minutes (during this time I generally like to debate a "philosopher of the day" with MC - she loves Nietzsche at the moment).
- Once cooked, drain, and then blend the peas and beans in an over-priced NutriBullet or similar reasonably priced blender of your choice.
- Serve in small bowl, or simply pour directly into the bottom of your baby's bib.
Optional extras
I loved developing this recipe because you can always add extras such as: mint, cheese, matcha tea powder*, spirulina powder* and/or organic protein powder*.
* these ingredients should only be added if you live close to Shoreditch High Street station.
